The school is aimed at graduate students, post-docs and young researchers. It with start with two days of discussions/lightning talks/preparatory lectures on January 9-11.

Then we shall have five introductory mincourses
from Monday January 12 to Friday January 17.
Each minicourse will consist of

  • three one hour lectures, the first two ones being elementary,
  • two one hour exercise sessions -- based on exercise sheets -- in small groups.

    introduction to currents, laminations and counting.
  • James Farre (MPI-leipzig)
    introduction to teichmüller theory.
  • Ramanujan Santharoubane (Saclay)
    introduction to quantum representations of the mapping class group
  • Nicolas Tholozan (ENS paris)
    introduction to harmonic mappings from surfaces.
  • Yilin Wang (IHÉS)
    introduction to the geometry and probability of curves on the sphere

    Registration and support: Preregistration is open until Octobre 31, applicants will have their eventual approval by November 10th.
    Graduate Students will have to produce a letter from their advisor.
  • Local expenses will be supported.
  • Travel expenses will be supported in some particular and exceptional cases.
